The writer of CPF

Timothy Field has years of delivery and business transformation experience. He’s able to seamlessly work between C-level and delivery teams. He is currently Managing Director at NeoSee.

He has taught and up-skilled many product managers and delivery leads, helping them optimise their work. Transformation leader is an overused term in the software industry and is claimed by most people now, despite many having limited organisational impact. Where he differentiates is his ability to deliver end-to-end operating models with a commercial focus. True success needs to lead to improved business results.

High impact change

“He has literally transformed our Product Development department and influenced it to adopt a more problem- and outcome-oriented mindset through his perseverant doubling down on user-oriented problem solving and OKR driven thinking. He's brought systematic road mapping and planning processes and overall improved our day-to-day product decision making.”

- Lead UX researcher

I personally grew a lot from Timothy's insights and methodologies as well, he had a lasting impact on how I think about product management which is why I am integrating many of his teachings into my current role as VP of Product at a Series B tech company.”

Timothy’s Book - The secrets of scaled Agile

In addition to creating CPF, Timothy is a published author. The following is a brief description of his book.

What is behind successful scaling? It certainly isn't an easy thing to do well. Each chapter will take you through a different problem and give you practical steps to resolve it. This book is framework-agnostic and will help if you use SAFe, LeSS, Nexus or a custom set-up. It is designed to help you maximise the business benefits of Agile.

This draws upon my extensive experience and includes failures that I wish I could have avoided. If you are thinking about scaling, this will help you to avoid the many pitfalls. If you are already scaling and it isn't going to plan, you should use the book to diagnose why and apply the appropriate fixes. I don't just cover processes but also mindset and organisational culture. These commonly ignored aspects can derail even the best process.

Many of the chapters are applicable even if you aren’t scaling. I have made the book as accessible as possible, making it valuable to both experts and complete novices.
